Members, led by Michelle Watson will be working on a project to research and publish biographical information of people whose names are listed on the Stockton War Memorial located at the junction of Hereford and Mitchell Sts, Stockton. It will also attempt to identify any people associated with Stockton who are not listed on the memorial.The aim of the project is to record the names, enlistment information, addresses, next of kin, service records and where possible, photographs for all those listed on the memorial and anyone else associated with Stockton who served in WW1. This information will then be made available to the wider community.
We are seeking the help of the local community in this project. Do you information on anyone listed on the memorial? Are you related? Do you have photographs of any of the soldiers?
